About the event
The Fresh Eyes Initiative is a program that aims to shift the way we see the world around us.
Through a series of workshops that cover everything from art to practical science (emphasis on
practical) we journey through understanding everyday materials such as cardboard,
concrete/cement, etc.
We learn how to use these easily available raw materials to make our lives better and also
become more aware of how we sometimes mistake “treasure” for “trash”.
These workshops focus on materiels and technique, instead of on any particular skill.
We put various maker-materials under the proverbial microscope and deep dive into its properties,
what those properties mean and various ways to manipulate the materials to get different end
results.
